This recipe is from my recent visit to India. We went to a beach resort in Daman, Gujarat, sat watching the waves and enjoyed this delicious snack (with a cool beer I might add!) There's something about having Indian food out in the fresh air - it tastes extra delicious!
Today, I was reminiscing about my trip and decided to make this fried chickpea snack (chana dal) for tea time. All the ingredients are estimated and can be adjusted to your taste so feel free to adjust. Add some green chilis too if you want it hot! Eitherway, it's just yummy!
INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup Chana Dal/Fried Chickpea Snack
1/4 Cup Red Onion, Chopped Finely
1/4 Cup Coriander, Chopped Finely
1 Small Tomato, Seeded & Chopped Finely
1 Lime, Juiced
1/4 tsp Chaat Masala (add more if you like)
METHOD:
Prepare all the ingredients.
Mix everything together right before serving.
TIP: Just remember not to mix the ingredients until you are ready to eat as the fried chana dal will go soft.
Enjoy!
